My policy for accepting PhD applicants as advisees*

*If you are not a current UVic Economics Master’s student, please note that we recently changed our PhD program. Students may now only enter our PhD program if you are one of our top MA students. If you are a current UVic Economics Master’s student considering the PhD program, please come have a chat with me. I’ll be asking for the following:

• A copy of your most recent transcript(s)

• Your current curriculum vitae

• Why you think I might be a good fit as your advisor

• Your Statement of Purpose / Statement of Research Interests, which should articulate your motivation for doing a PhD and your particular fields of interest, and should also show a clear alignment with my research agenda. This can come later, if we decide that I would be a good fit as your advisor
